Editorial policy
Western Concert Guide aims to make its explanations clear, careful and independent. We distinguish description from opinion, avoid presenting personal preference as a universal rule, and correct material errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and context
We check names, dates, terminology and historical claims before publication, and give context where a concert custom or format has changed over time. We do not invent sources, experiences or expertise. Where an account is uncertain or interpretations differ, we say so rather than making a neat answer out of incomplete information.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions and conclusions remain ours. Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page; please identify the article and the point in question. We review correction requests, amend substantiated errors and make a clear note when a change materially affects an article.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is identified clearly as partner material, and it does not buy control of unrelated editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that applies, the illustration is labelled. Images are not presented as documentary evidence unless they are.
The room is part of the music
A concert is shaped by more than the work being played. We look at the formats, spaces and conventions that affect how audiences hear and understand it.
